Surf Shop Cops are back with their latest single “High,” the second taste of their upcoming debut album.
“High” is a reflection on whether your habits are serving you. The lyrics delve into the importance of asking yourself the questions that you know the answers to, but are in denial of. Musically, you can hear a mix of early 2000’s style emo and indie rock, which carry the track’s relatable lyrics with bounce, swagger, and sing-along hooks in spades.
To celebrate, the trio are heading out on their biggest regional WA tour yet. Don’t miss their formidable live set in a town near you this winter:
Thurs 9.6 – The Bird, Northbridge with Duck Teeth and Lauren and the Good Fights.
Fri 10.6 – Cutler + Smith, Geraldton with RATSALAD and Duck Teeth.
Fri 17.6 – El Grotto, Scarborough, with Sunsick and SECRET HEADLINER.
Sat 18.6 – Settlers Tavern, Margaret River with Saul Goode
Fri 24.6 – The Shed, Albany with Nervous and Safer Than Milk
Sat 25.6 – Pier Hotel, Esperance with Stunned Mullets and Kyza
Fri 1.7 – Top Floor, Mandurah with Little Guilt and Solar Juice
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land that these events will be taking place on, and would like to pay our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.
All are welcome at these shows, and if you do not respect the people around you, we will kick you out. If you are feeling unsafe, are being harassed, or anything of that nature, please don’t hesitate to notify a band member, or venue staff.
